Meet Kiki – Empty-Next

Kiki Vogel - Welcome to my empty-nest place on the internet!

Hi there new friend! ?

Welcome to my “empty-next” Yes, next is what I mean!) piece of the internet. I’m Kiki.

Life is good and getting better! I became a mom at the age of 21 and have been blessed to be able to work from home most of my mom years, it wasn’t easy, but I had a nice income through direct sales. I earned enough to enjoy some extras in our family life, but my first focus was always my family and especially my children.

My kids have now grown-up and are living their own adult lives in another state, WAY too far away, and I am now living in my very empty-nest. ? We are in Georgia, and they are in Arizona. I don’t like to dwell on this, so I am looking for my empty-NEXT – what do I want to do, moving forward?!

Where did this empty-nest leave me? ?‍♀️

For a time I was not really sure. If I am being completely honest, I was definitely a little lost. I went back into the work force – and that definitely didn’t feel good or right. Then COVID-19 hit and that changed everything. Which honestly, for me, was a blessing in disguise.

When I work for someone else, I allow the work to take over my life. (Red personality type here!) We are heading into retirement years, and that’s just not how I want to live; building someone else’s dream or income. I am determined that my second-half will be just as meaningful as my first half has been, and even better.

I’ve returned to building my own business here in empty-next world and honestly building my own life. I was always busy doing something for my family, or helping someone build their thing – everything I worked on I considered a “side-gig” which was fine at the time. Now, it’s my time to build the future I want.

I still take care of Honey Bunches, but he’s an adult and does pretty good for the most part. ? So now it’s my turn. I am determined that I am going to get this extra weight off, I am going to be more serious about working out, and I’m going to enjoy the process of building a business online. With the goal of giving to our faith community and allowing me more time to spend with those I care about. I don’t want to become  incapacitated due to my weight or my health, nor do I want to worry about our finances and all the other concerns that come with retirement. I want to live an amazing second-half and I want to do it all on my terms with no worries. I want to be the best me I can possibly be for as long as the good Lord allows it!

When considering what I wanted to do, I considered several things, and you may be going through that same process as well. There are so many options open to us today. We can build a business in our homes – some choose to create something, others do network marketing or join a direct sales company, some do affiliate work. I want to build something unique and empowering to all that join me, and share what I am learning/growing along the way. I just know there are things that I love and things that are working for me, and I want to share them. I enjoy crafts and creating things, but I get bored easily, so making something over and over again doesn’t work for me, and I know I never want to punch a time clock again.

I enjoy sharing what I am learning and continue to learn about building something like this online. My real hope is that I will build new friendships, and new interests with people that are ready to do the same. If that sounds like you, please reach out. You may not have interest in everything I am doing, but we can figure out what your interests are and build from there.

Reaching empty-next status doesn’t have to mean we settle into ANYTHING. An empty-next simply means we now have more time to focus on ourselves and our future. We can take the self-improvement courses we didn’t have time for, we can find products that are meaningful or fun and share them, we can travel, we can make new friends, we get to put all the things that are important to us first.

The reality is, it doesn’t matter what our age, it doesn’t matter if we have smooth, supple, young skin or if we have life experiences which have created some of those character lines and wrinkles. It doesn’t matter if we are skinny as a rail, normal weight or overweight. I think we can all enjoy better overall health, better energy and focus during the day, taking care of our skin AND enjoy all the fun life has to offer! At any age, in any business, and no matter where we are at in our lives. ?

I hope you will consider joining me and having some fun. It’s never too early or too late to start building your “second-half” to make all your “life things” better and to create lasting friendships. Don’t wait, trust me when I say, the earlier you begin, the better! I want all of us to experience the best empty-nest ever!

So why not? Let’s do this!

Please join my group. I’d love to get to know you!

You never know what may happen once we connect.
